Sometimes motherhood feels like being an invisible mountain, holding and grounding the necessary glue for the family, the community — for humanity.
It’s a juxtaposition. Two truths at once.
One part respects this immense responsibility and honor, warmly embracing its duties and role.
Another part needs to be held in ways we as a collective are only just beginning to wake up, to recognize and to act upon for and to the mother, and the great mother within us all.
And while the paradigm is shifting, we as mothers, are the bridge, teaching, guiding and slowing life down to cherish the presence of our humanity; the precious moments of life’s breath with our children, and with one another.
There is a balance in the delicate dance of this changing tide.
As mothers, we are learning how to release what was, while allowing others to pick up the pieces we have carried for lineages and lifetimes. And at the same time, we are harnessing the nourishment of giving ourselves permission to fall into the foreign support.
The scales are tipping. It is in our own growth to know ourselves and our needs to make it so. It is in our own clarity of who we are, to speak it so.
And while it is happening, and we are here to be a beacon for this transformative movement, it doesn’t quite look like what we planned it to be or hoped it to be.
So much now in this time is about accepting what is even when we know the great possibility of what could be. It is in our accepting that we can hold steady the wider vision of equanimity for humanity, for our children, and their children, and their children’s children.
Do not take our acceptance as complacency.
It is not.
No.
It is quite the opposite.
Our acceptance allows for change to happen. It allows us to accept within ourselves and heal any parts that are clinging, pushing away, and spiraling out from who we really are.
The right of passage of motherhood ignites within us a fire. A flame that won’t go out. Whether we have the words to truly conceptualize and understand it, it is among us, within us, woven into the tapestry of our sleep deprived, overloaded mental capacity to hold the deep well of emotional strength summoned by a force greater than us. It is engrained in the energetic blueprint of mother, though embodying it is another task all together.
Beholden to the connection of the Divine Mother, we are not afraid to know and touch the collective sorrow, which has parts of us on our knees shaking in grief for the pain of humanity, the heartbreak of oppression and wars, children murdered, beaten, raped, sold, abused and the loss of connection to the medicinal nourishment of our Earth Mother.
We are no stranger to the absence of time and the importance of presence — here, now, right now — for it arrives the moment we take our seat at the table, gazing into the Universe of our children’s eyes.
We may have felt it before in small stretches of breath, but when we hold our children and realize the miracle of this human life in a way we as a portal carrier endure — a vessel for the transmission of a Soul to arrive as a human — our hearts are cracked, wide and open, to the infinite source of compassion and love.
It is as if the children, these star beings, speak all that we have forgotten in that instant of sacred time.
They whisper, “Remember.”
And our lives are never the same after we remember — for to truly see that we are spirit beings in human form in the essence of our children, that we have divinely nurtured them into being upon this earthly realm is awe-struck.
We remember that we have had within us all along this ancient wisdom and the power to change the world.
And so it is.
Thanks for being here.
Take care of you.
Take care of one another.
Much Love,
Kristina Renée

Thank you for your writing. I’ll be contemplating this as I nurse throughout the night. Weaving in like a thread into my awareness
